What a bizarre story. I really don’t know what to even make of it. Manafort tried to negotiate transfer of Assange but Trump was unaware? Highly doubt Trump wants Assange here and it’s more unrealistic that our intel would use Manafort to broker the deal nytimes.com/2018/12/03/us/…
The only thing that I’m curious about is who planted this story because I really can’t figure out who it benefits except maybe Wiki
Why would our intel go to Manafort who by that point they knew was a Russian asset (agent) to ask him to broker a deal to bring Assange here so he can expose half of Trump’s team and their dealings with Russia? Trump was unaware but yet Manafort for going to ask for concessions?
So Manafort who couldn’t cooperate with Mueller under the severe pressure he is facing now was actually going to go against the Kremlin and the Trump regime in May 2017 when he wasn’t officially charged? Right!
The only part that makes sense is Manafort being broke
Manafort meeting w Assange makes way more sense as well as Rohrabacher trying to get Assange a pardon from trump
The only way I would believe Manafort would broker a deal is if Assange’s final destination was Russia or a country friendly to Russia who would pass him there
And this makes a lot of sense. Reread the story again and still don’t understand to whom Manafort was planning to give Assange over once he was here.
