Now you know why Trump hasn't publicly attacked Flynn: the conversation among Trump allies appears to be that Trump should pardon him. That said, Flynn has spent a year giving Mueller "significant cooperation"—a pardon would only be an attempt to induce Flynn to take it all back.
2/ What worries me is Flynn and his lawyers attacked the FBI in the very memo they knew would get Flynn no prison time as long as they didn't do anything to change Mueller's recommendation—which was very generous to Flynn.

3/ Possibly Flynn and his lawyers thought they had nothing to lose, as the chance of Mueller changing his recommendation on the basis of his annoyance with Flynn's memo was very small—so why not *also* keep open the option of Trump pardoning Flynn by (wrongly) attacking the FBI?
4/ That said, Flynn can't "take back" what he's said or he'd face new charges for Making False Statements. And all the info he gave Mueller has already been swept up into Mueller's investigative plan.
