...but DID open a probe in Jul 2016 after it received a vague tip about PapaD from an Aus diplomat? 🤔

It quotes sources with access to the classified Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA). Peter Strzok was the FBI lead for the ICA and even co-wrote it

Then those same FBI counterintelligence guys took virtually no investigative steps into PapaD until AFTER the election was over, while they instead chased leads from the Steele dossier

Then those same FBI counterintel guys leaked to friendly Collusion Media NYT reporters that:

—PapaD/Downer had a “drunken conversation” (Downer: it was “one gin and tonic”)

—about “dirt” (Downer: “he didn’t say dirt”)

—a “revelation” (Downer: only “quite interesting”)

And even Downer says the conversation “wasn’t about Trump” and “nothing...in that conversation indicated Trump himself had been conspiring with the Russians”

You ever plan on running this on the record quote on @CNN @CillizzaCNN?

I wonder what changed between Fall 2015 and July 2016 which might actually be related to the opening of the CI probe by Strzok who said “no [he won’t become President] we’ll stop it”?
