Watching prominent Brexiter advocates in England frantically relitigate debates of 2016 while in the other UK nations debate has moved on to issues fundamental to the survival of the British state that were barely mentioned in England in 2016 is downright surreal
If the UK Union is to survive this fiasco it needs fundamental constitutional renewal. Rival English factions whacking each other over the head over 2016's Brexit sloganeering while other UK nations seriously discuss the end of the British state is like something out of Gibbon

The projection is fascinating. This isn't as much frustration with the EU as frustration with basics of democratic governance. In an autocracy run by "guardians" small technocratic elites can ram through change whatever the cost. In democracy it takes time, and a lot of meetings
Someone who earlier on claims to have informed himself about how the EU system works, yet does not seem aware of how the EU system manages the Single Market as well as movement in and out of it. No mention in all of this of a single specific EU institutional framework

Just as the UK government never understood that Leo Varadkar could have been its best friend in the EU, it still does not understand how lucky it is that Pedro Sanchez is in power now rather than any of his more nationalist rivals.

Has still made no effort to reach out to Madrid
The self-obsessed inability of Westminster and Whitehall leadership factions to engage with the specific dynamics of the politics of EU states as they are rather than as they would like them to be is becoming a national security risk for the peoples of the UK.
British factions that love to obsess about supposed equals in France or Germany whose outlook they struggle to understand missed all the risk signals coming from Dublin in 2016 and 2017.

They still don't get that Spain under PP or Ciudadanos could cause the UK huge trouble

There is no recognition that there’s a difference in outcome for Scotland if we remain in the EU & if we do not.

If we are unsuccessful in stopping Brexit then Scotland, NI & now, I think Wales are being dragged out against their will and to their detriment

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.
