Actually, Koch’s are divesting because the writing is on the wall. Oil sands are no longer profitable in the long term.

I’ve been following a court case in the US. NYS Attorney General is suing Exxon on behalf of investors over securities fraud.

Huge, enormous implications.
The case hinges around Alberta oil sands and Exxon misrepresenting the profitability of Alberta oil sands investments to investors.

This is one of the threads that keeps disappearing. So I’m attempting to write it all at once instead of a little at a time to attaché receipts.
I can attach receipts at the end after it’s published. Because I do have them. A ton of receipts. So here goes!
Here is an article giving an overview of the Scheer magnitude of the case.
theintercept.com/2019/11/12/cli…

This is monumental. If the judge finds in favour of AG, it changes the game, in Canada and globally. It might very well be what PMJT is waiting for to respond to Kenney and wexit.
Basically, Exxon was keeping two sets of books. One that seemed to incorporate cost of carbon levies & climate legislation into its oil sands profitability. It is the information shared with investors.

And one that carbon levies were basically non existent, kept internally.
Seems Exxon was under the impression that federal government of Canada would not impose an incremental carbon levy, or impose regulations to negatively impact Exxon’s profits. The internal information was revealed in leaked emails and internal memos.
When that was leaked in 2015, NYS subpoenaed Exxon information. They eventually complied, but deleted a secret second account Rex Tillerson used to communicate internally at Exxon (Wayne Tracker).

I’m sure much was lost, but it’s well beyond doubt there were two sets of books.
How would Exxon come to the conclusion that Canada would not impose any carbon levies or restrictions? In fact, until recently, Exxon planned to expand in Alberta. That’s now been put on hold.

Dual sets of books accusations all took place prior to 2015 when internal docs leaked.
That means it happened during the Harper era.

Generally 2+2=4.

What are Kenney and Scheer complaining most about? What are they trying to change? Carbon levies & Bill C-69.

Did Harper government give assurances to oil industry to block carbon levies and climate legislation?
So whatever the answer to that question, there sure is a lot of quacking, waddling, and ruffled feathers surrounding wexit. 🦆

Kenney, Scheer, Moe & multitudes of other cons are heavily invested in the expansion of O&G development to provide jobs & prosperity.
They can’t do it without a CPC government in place, a CPC majority government. Because the majority of Canadians support climate action. They need a majority to prevent climate action.

The last election was supposed to provide a majority. But it didn’t. Thank god!
Cons pulled out all the stops: smear campaigns, multiple accusations of criminal corruption, racism, sexual abuse, ethics breaches. Everything they could think of to assassinate Trudeau’s character.
Foreign interference was astronomical this past election. Not only for US, but also from Russia, China, Iran, and I’m sure a multitude of other adversarial and “allied” foreign entities.

The frustration and extreme angst from cons is related to FF expansion in Alberta.
Now you know why.

That’s who is heavily invested in AB FF. They make up many of the investors.

Who are the main people amplifying secession?

Dominionists Christians
Kenney
Scheer
Moe
Rempel
FF investors

And Opportunist Libertarians
McKay
Ford
FF Industry
AB FF businesses
The prosperity promised by Scheer and Kenney, and to a lesser extent Moe, all hinges on expansion of FF industry in AB.

Climate extremists are going to not like this, but FF are not shutting down immediately.

They can’t. We don’t have the green energy to replace FF.
Kenney eliminated the diversification plans Notley had in place. Just like Ford did in Ontario. Saskatchewan never developed any plans in 4 years. Why? To keep these jurisdictions completely dependent on FF revenue. ON has large investors in AB FF industry.
Kenney, Scheer, Ford and Moe are all connected to Dominionist Christian agenda.

The prosperity gospel.

They want to destroy Canada to transfer the wealth in natural resources to the Dominionist/Libertarians. They’ll rip it apart before letting go of billions in revenue.
And they’ve recruited several to assist in undermining the LPC, their only competition and the party standing in their way.

There is obvious coordination of NDP/GPC smearing of LPC. Are they investors too? Or just promised a cut? Maybe just increased political power? 🤷🏽‍♀️
The FN community, or a subsection of it at the very least.

FN have been besieged by MLI committee, set up by Atlas Network (a Koch & Exxon funded think tank), to sell FN on the merits of libertarianism, free market, private property. Left libertarianism, & UNDRIP without FPIC.
With many western Canadian FN on board, UNDRIP transfer of control of natural resources to FN would mean there is nothing federal government could do to halt FF production.

But some FN are not in agreement. They really do want the power to say no to FF. And rightly so.
There are some FN that maintain their integrity and their adherence to the belief that Mother Earth is sacred and must be protected, not overharvested. Irrespective of the amount of money thrown at them, some people can NOT be bought. Thank god for that.
Foreign investors are watching the Dominionist prosperity cash cow dreams dwindle. Fox News is hosting Cons to raise awareness in the Dominionist community. MSM Op eds, BNN, Financial Post, Wall Street. They’re all helping out. AB is a cash cow for foreign investors, not Canada.
Trump was livid about NAFTA 2.0 negotiations. He wanted the same investor protections that China’s FIPA offers. Instead, Canada conceded some of the Canadian dairy market to keep investor protections within the Canadian court systems, & out of an international tribunal.
Yes Trudeau and Freeland opened the dairy market to US, but maintained Canadian sovereignty in the process. However, USMCA is still not ratified. Still under negotiations for labour benefits in both nations. But Pelosi assures it will be soon. Post impeachment? 🤷🏻‍♀️
So you can see why this has been difficult information to get out. Even today I continue to have problems. Already 1 thread deleted. This is 2nd version. So I’m putting all the info out, & now will commence attaching receipts. Please wait until I’m done for thread reader.
Here’s evidence the decline in jobs & investment came long before Trudeau or Notley were elected. Long before carbon levies or Bill C-69.

Many don’t want to remember that, or are motivated to point fingers without checking. The decline started before progressives were elected.
Here is a thread I wrote 10 months ago. Documenting the Exxon securities fraud case brought forward by NYS.

Kearl oil sands project and Harper’s approval of the project in 2008, twice, are the centre of controversy.

Here is a thread I did that revealed CPC’s non action climate plan.

In it, you’ll find an article written in 2009. Shortly after the Kearl oil sands project was approved twice by Harper. The author, a Fraser Institute Senior Fellow.

Campaign rhetoric or truth? ctvnews.ca/layton-calls-f…

Here’s Reuter’s confirming Harper approved Kearl twice in same year. reuters.com/article/imperi…
Here is a policy paper buried in a policy review of Harper.
Page 257.
policyalternatives.ca/sites/default/…
While it’s written by environmental activists, it documents the commitment Harper government had for approval of Exxon’s Kearl Project.

The Harper cabinet overruled a Federal Court of Canada ruling to approve Kearl for the second time.
The policy paper is full of other information one can glean.

The Harper govt rejected Kyoto targets.

Kearl project was exempted from Carbon capture.

So it seems Kearl project WAS assured they would not be hindered by carbon capture.
That doesn’t prove Exxon was given guarantees, but it means the Harper govt’s public activities regarding Kearl are consistent with the NYS Attorney General’s case asserting Exxon had the understanding carbon restrictions weren’t going to hinder its investment.
But there’s more. Harper’s policies were meant to maximize investor profit, at the expense of Albertans, and temporary foreign workers.

TFW’s were brought to Alberta to increase the labour pool and lower wages.

Harper ignored, buried and suppressed health concerns.
This paper also reveals the Security and Prosperity Partnership.

Here’s some history.

The idea sprang from Vincent Fox, President of Mexico during the collapse of the peso as a currency. He argued North America should become a trading region like the European Union. books.google.com/books/about/To…
So now I get the left’s angst over Liberals being neo-cons. SPP was a Martin initiative in 2005. It was meant to strengthen relationships like the EU trade relationships and result in streamlined trade, travel, commerce.

But Harper inherited it, adulterated it and ran with it.
You know how Canadian politics, culture & academia are seeming to become more American? That’s because they were designed to.

That was the whole purpose of SPP: To converge regulatory systems & integrate the energy market. It was always the Harper plan to maintain one customer.
Essentially, Mexico, US & Canada handed the design and power to operate the SPP in corporations best interests to generate “prosperity” to 30 Chief Executive Officers, 10 from each country. To bypass the elected representatives of each nation
Subsequently, the negative press resulted in the disbanding of SPP. But not the plans.
