@weareoversight The email exchange does show a State Department lawyer telling an attorney for ex Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch NOT to testify before the House impeachment inquiry 
The lawyer for ex-Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch had a firm reply: She is going to testify anyway. "She is unable to obey your most recent directive" The rest is history.
The outlines of this were known in October. But until now, I at least had not seen these letters back and forth between the lawyers. Here was a statement put out in October, when State tried to stop Yovanovitch from testifying.
