As a lawyer I remain shocked @ the audacity of attorneys in trump’s orbit. We r held to higher standards of care 4 reasons. Cippillone represents the office of the presidency not trump personally& he had a duty 2 disclose his conflict of interest & had no business representing 1/
trump @ the impeachment potluck (see my pinned tweet). Furthermore Sekulow has demonstrated continued conflicts of interest in all things trump as he’s been a constant figure in the corruption orbit & surely had items to disclose that would prevent him from representation 2/
We see Barr, since Day 1, demonstrate not only is he representing trump personally on taxpayer’s dime but running interference & has been implicated as a co-conspirator a number of times to trump crimes most recently the Ukraine call 3/
Now we have Rudy acting as trump’s personal attorney by being a foreign policy advocate on what is now condoned by Dersh as “public interest” action so who pays Guiliani? We do more than likely & Barr, Cippillone & crew were looped in on this scam as well according 2 new 4/
evidence. We are watching in real time, on our salary, a criminal enterprise propounded, supported, & protected by judges, lawyers & senators/congressmen who all have higher ethical obligations than anyone on the street. We are seeing a need now for state bars to 4/
autonomously self-police active political attorneys as a repeat measure. This is something we haven’t seen before except w Nixon but essentially just 1 lawyer. Here it’s so many & at the very highest levels. When we look @ reform after trump is gone this must be yet another 6/
critical initiative as we watched attorneys for POTUS lie directly to the United States Senate. We watched as Senators took an oath of impartiality w no intention of keeping it. We watched as they planned & rigged a farce trial to absolve a criminal of multiple crimes 7/
& they did so with zero concern for accountability. I cannot fathom being so cavalier with my oath(s) in every day life let alone before what once was the most powerful political body in the world. These attorneys shed their duties as quickly as they shed their responsibility 8/
as Americans and for that, we must ensure our political process from a legal standpoint can never be compromised like this again. Sweeping measures are required to ensure only honest lawyers stand before our legislators for any reason whatsoever. FINAL
