Whew boy I dont know if a lot of people understand what is happening in this story.

1)how many UACs are attending schools in america?
2)How many are over 19
3)How much is it costing tax payers?
4)What are the crime statistics of any ethnicity going to school aged 19-21?
5)what Gang affiliation if any?

The reason I ask the last question is this sounds to me like a beginning of a grooming gang. Lure kids from popular places. Give them nice things. Give them booze or drugs (weed and then harder drugs). Sexually assault them while on drugs.
Allow others to do the same. Just my thoughts as I have heard of these scenarios in the UK. Look up Tommy Robinson.

THREAD| Draft of the #Climate Change Act, presented by (@bmu) this week: The proposal is a framework law, featuring elements from international acts, e.g. from UK (@theCCCuk). In contrast to the German Climate Action Plan 2050, it will be legally binding. #Klimaschutzgesetz
2| The framework law includes emission reduction targets, defines CO2 budgets for each sector, and clarifies responsibilities, as well as review, transparency & sanctioning mechanisms. Implementation measures for each sector will be detailled in 2030 programmes, due in Mar 2019.
3| Progress will be supported by an independent advisory group of 7 experts. Focus is on reaching the 2030 CO2 reduction targets, but the draft works towards at least 95% reduction by 2050. The remaining 5% to reach #netzero could be reached through compensation policies.

The Green New Deal is about climate change. It's ALL about climate change. It doesn't have a proposal for universal healthcare, or for free college for all, or universal basic income, or government-sanctioned unicorns. It's a climate change plan. Full stop.
The whole resolution before the House and Senate breaks down into three parts: 1) Why is addressing climate change a government problem?
2) What should we do to address climate change?
3) What should we keep in mind while addressing climate change?

#FDR promoted the idea that the people of the world, in all nations, shared entitlement to four freedoms: that of the freedom of speech and expression, the freedom of worship, the freedom from want and the freedom from fear.
#FDR is arguably one of the most 'successful' #US Presidents. Some would argue that on the basis of his numerous social policies such as 'the New Deal'. Others, however, would argue that his role during the second world war was more prevalent to his success & everlasting legacy.

Just returned from Bangkok, where nations made little progress towards finalising the Paris agreement on climate change that aims to limit global temperature rises over the next 80 years.

It was my first @UN #climate change rodeo and there were a few things I wasn't aware of
Under Paris, countries agreed to a fairly detailed set of promises to keep global temperature rises under 2C by 2100.

It was the first time all nations - both developed and developing economies - signed up to the same set of climate rules. But they weren't binding
Parties gave themselves in effect 3 years to come up with a text agreed by everyone, ratified, and translated into national law on a state-by-state basis. The idea is the accord isn't legally binding, but the rulebook it provides could be on a national level
