One of the most common questions patients ask me 👇
"Pharm, can I take my Medications with SOFT DRINKS ?"

#ANSWER : it's NOT advisable to take your medications with Soft drinks UNLESS recommended by your Pharmacist.

A Thread Image
( 1.) Soft drinks are Carbonated water (carbonic #ACID + water).

- The ACID can render the drug "in or Less active" leading to sub-optimal clinical outcome.

- Soft drinks doesn't REALLY cause Ulcer but for can cause some ERODING effects on Ulcer patients & those with history
of Ulcer due to the Phosphoric acid & Carbonic acids present.

The ACID can also worsen the symptoms of Ulcer (such as bloating, stomach fullness, stomach irritation).

Taking Such Drinks with AntiUlcer medications can make such drugs abit less effective.

Sure, "polls aren't votes", but 15 pts down means Trump's (ym"sh) vulnerable, dries up fundraising, allows GOP electeds to contradict him publicly, allows reporters to treat him normally & not as the magician of 2016 who commands a cult of violent kooks.
To combat the complacency that the polling imbalance could bring, I suggest telling fellow anti-Trumpites that no matter how much DJT is down in November, when you vote, it will feel as good as punching him in the face with all of your strength

Is vaping bad for you? A cardiothoracic surgeon gives her expert opinion.
A twitter thread on #vaping in #Australia, in a news report featuring @drnikkistamp.
Report "debate rages on about whether [#eCigarette are] actually a safer alternative to regular #cigarettes"
Yes, in much the same way that debate rages as to whether #vaccines cause autism, or whether the Earth is flat.
Sans the carbon monoxide & tar of #smoking, ..
.. it'd be pretty extraordinary if they were anything less than /much/ less harmful.

This opinion piece by a few Ozzies is so full of contorted thinking & debunked logic it is worthy of a @Clive_Bates 13K word smack-down, but I expect he's busy on other things so I'll post some brief points.
@KielanMcalinden, S. Sohal, @sharmalabonline…
