The year was 1841, a little more than a century before the Kingdom of Jammu & Kashmir acceded to the Indian Union. Under the liege of Maharaja Gulab Singh Jamwal, an ambitious Rajput general by the name of Zorawar Singh Kahluria crusaded to liberate Mount Kailash.
Commandeering a 6000-strong Dogra army, he marched onto Tibet, and Mount Kailash, an object of divine provenance to his people that was occupied by the Tibetans. The campaign was fueled by both pious and militaristic fervor, it was preceded by a successful conquest of Baltistan.

Patronage of Art, Culture & Religion under Rajputs

#Rajput Rulers of Jaislamer were Hindus but they were great patrons of Hinduism & Jainism.
A wonderful example of temple architecture is found in the Rajput Period in #Jaisalmer.
The great jain temples of Chintamani Pārsvanataha,Rishabhadeva,Šāntinātha,Sambhavanatha and Mahāvīra in the fort of Jaisalmer constructed one after another between the 12th -15th centuries in the reign of #Rajput Rulers were excellent. ImageImage
The temple of Bhagvan Parshvnatha(23rd tirthankar) which was built in the twelfth century is the oldest and still in great condition. It was repaired from time to time.

The present temple is built in the reign of Maharawal Jai Singh Bhati in 1416 . Image

🔥When a #Rajput defeated combined armies of China & Tibbet 🔥

Today 30th May is celebrated as the Mantalai Day by the 4 JAKRIF to commemorate the victory of Dogra forces led by General Zorawar Singh a Chandel Rajput over combined Chinese & Tibetan troops in a great battle
fought at Dogpacha near Kailash Mansarovar in 1841. In this battle nearly 1500 troops of the combined Tibetan Chinese forces were routed. Dogras captured the standard/flag of the enemy which is called as the 'Mantalai Flag' and is the most prized possession even today with the
4th battalion of the J&K Rifles. Present 4 JAKRIF is the same Fateh Shibji paltan of the Dogras which defeated the Tibetan Chinese forces in this battle.

Indian Forces have defeated Chinese Forces twice, both under Rajputs, one under Gen Zorawar other under Lt Gen Sagat Singh.

Only an insecure citizen will vilify a period of history, as rich and complex as #Mughal rule.

This demonstrates a vacuum of confidence and an inherent inadequacy in their own ability, to accept or understand the dynamics that created modern #India.

A #thread on the #Mughals:
1. The #Mughals, as they are erroneously called, were descended from Temur (aka Tamberlane, Tamerlane), in a direct patrilineal line and from Chengiz Khan in a direct matrilineal line.

They identified themselves with their Timurid heritage.
#TheGreatMughals
2. Babur, like all Mughals felt a legitimate claim on Hindustan after its conquest in 1398-99, by Temür, which effectively ended the already tottering Tughlaq Sultanate, following the fall of Delhi.
Not until 1451 and the rise of the Lodis (under Bahlul Khan), did Delhi recover.

At Left is a Pan Continental Islamic Dominance.

Persia Fell to Islimic Jihad
Northern African countries fell
Whole of Gulf Converted
Western China Islamised

But even after 1000 yrs of Direct attack, WE SURVIVED.
Why? Because a Small group called Rajputs Never Stopped Fighting.
From Bappa Rawal in 700s till Thakur Kushal Singh, Veer Kunwar Singh of Bihar..
You name an Invading Force & 1 Rajput was Standing there against him

People often talk about Mohd. Ghori but never mention that why Islam couldn't touch India when all other countries were converted.
Why the Dominance of Islam couldn't touch India till 1200s while the apposite areas totally converted? Ancient Civilisations razed to Ground.
Even after that, they were continuously checked, fought, and many a times defeated, these scums never say anything about it?
