On a personal note, I have enormous respect and affection for Muslim women. Relentless persecution of them by their own is unbelievably diabolical. So it is especially painful when those who have an opportunity to do so much good choose not to.

Truth be told, @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib can be quite transformational if they can rise above their petty biases. They have an opportunity to make an enormous difference for the Muslim community in the U.S. and by implication reshape the dialogue perhaps for the world. 1/
All they have to do (even if it's hard for them, God only knows why considering how good America has been to them) is to show unequivocally that Muslim leaders, at least the ones elected to Congress, love America and ALL Americans. If they do, they will have my full support. 2/2
