SCO says Manafort lied re passing polling data to Russian operative Kilimnik to augment his chances of a Trump pardon, which seems to imply that by telling the truth about the polling data, Manafort exposed Trump's involvement in the conspiracy. Otherwise, why would Trump care?
"Which suggests Manafort believed whatever he was covering up when he lied to Mueller and the grand jury [about passing internal Trump polling data to Russian intelligence operative Konstantin Kilimnik], put the President personally at risk."
"Manafort may have been lying because telling the truth [that Trump's campaign chair & deputy chair were conspiring w/ Russian intelligence] would be so damaging to Trump it would blow his chance at a pardon." -@RepAdamSchiff to @Lawrence. via @MaddowBlog
