Good morning! ☕ Senate Republicans are confirming so many of Trump’s lifetime federal judges, it’s hard to keep up.

Here's a guide to his most alarming judges to date. Some simply aren't qualified; others are extreme right-wing ideologues.

If you think #sharpiegate is crazy, imagine someone getting confirmed to be a lifetime federal judge who falsely claimed abortion causes cancer. Or who called being transgender "a delusion." Or who blamed women for date rape.

This is all happening. huffpost.com/entry/trump-co…
I know talking about judges and courts sounds boring. But Trump and Mitch McConnell are remaking the federal courts at warp speed, and the questionable people they're confirming as *lifetime* judges will be making decisions for decades that affect you. huffpost.com/entry/trump-co…
Lemme give you a little sampling of some of the people Senate Republicans have quietly confirmed to be lifetime federal judges.

Exhibit A.
Or how about U.S. circuit judge Leonard Steven Grasz. He earned a *unanimous* "not qualified" rating by the ABA. That hardly ever happens and it's embarrassingly bad. Republicans confirmed him anyway and now he's on an appeals court for life.
And then there's Jonathan Kobes, now a lifetime circuit court judge. He also got a rare "not qualified" ABA rating because he can't WRITE well enough to be a judge. Republicans confirmed him anyway -- and it didn't hurt that he used to work for one of them, Sen. Mike Rounds.
Care about voting rights? Kyle Duncan defended NC's voter suppression law that a federal court struck down for discriminating against black voters "with almost surgical precision.”

He also questioned the "legitimacy" of SCOTUS after it ruled in favor of marriage equality.
And of course, there's Brett Kavanaugh.

He repeatedly lied under oath in his confirmation hearing. He snapped at senators as they asked him about credible assault allegations against him. Not exactly the judicial standard of promoting "public confidence" in the judiciary.
Anyway, here's a guide you oughta hang onto if you care about women’s rights, LGBTQ rights or voting rights. Or just the idea that lifetime federal judges should be fit to serve. huffpost.com/entry/trump-co…
