Aarif Aajakia, a prominent Mohajir leader who escaped Pakistan tweeted of a booklet which Pakistan distributed in UNHRC. How proud those Indians should be, who made an entry into that booklet. Titled "Citizen Journalism in Kashmir"
and published by some YFK which calls itself an "International Kashmir Lobby Group" but ironically turns out to be a Pakistani Government front operating from Islamabad and probably has nothing to do with Kashmir.
Confirmed. Neither of them are Kashmiri names.
Now coming to those proud Indians.
1. @TabeenahAnjum identified as "a Kashmiri journalist based in India and working for Indian newspaper Deccan Herald."
@TabeenahAnjum 2. @DevjyotGhoshal "a Reuters correspondent, and an
Indian citizen". Notice the words Indian Citizen.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal 3. @zebatweets "Zeba Siddiqui, a Reuters correspondent in India"
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets 4. Immu Sultan makes an entry here. Sad thing is, he didn't mention that people cursed him by calling him Hitler Khan in Pakistan itself. And true to his moniker Imm the Dim, he never knew that the Nazi Swastika is not a Swastika but the Hauken Kraus of Lambach Abbey.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets 5. @suchitrav "Suchitra Vijayan, a lawyer and human rights activist with UN experience. She wrote this thread about a group of Indian activists who visited Kashmir under curfew and returned to release a report contradicting New Delhi’s version of events."
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav 6. @nytimes "influential American newspaper", eh? Ever heard of Fake News Awards constituted by Donald Trump? The list contains list of awardees.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes 7. @Shehla_Rashid "a student leader and rising Kashmiri politician who studied at India’s largest university". "India’s largest university", eh? Care to name what it is?
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid 8. @kavita_krishnan "Kavita Krishnan, a renowned Indian Communist and student leader" Student leader. Hmm...
Poor Pakistanis. They didn't have money to share the video these people made with everyone. They had to satisfy themselves with some tweets.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid @kavita_krishnan 9. @RanaAyyub "a renowned Indian journalist who writes for Time magazine" I was wondering why didn't she make an entry into the list till now. By the way, what is her achievement? Journalist or writes for Times?
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid @kavita_krishnan @RanaAyyub 10. And then, @BBCWorld. By the way, did they share with India, the raw footage of the video they claimed to be shot in Kashmir? By the way, when you can't verify something but still want to share, it's called spreading rumours and lies.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid @kavita_krishnan @RanaAyyub @BBCWorld 11. @NicolaCareem "BBC’s South Asia bureau Nicola Careem chief, provided the world a rare video insight". Bad news is, most of the video(including the grab below) was shot in Pakistan and only a minor part is from India, that too, old. India asked to handover the raw footage.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid @kavita_krishnan @RanaAyyub @BBCWorld @NicolaCareem So, the situation is this. 7/11 are Indians who should be proud to make an entry into this report - and probably, two more - the journalists of NYT and BBC. And the sad part is, every bit of news shared is fake and is countered by Indian govt with proofs.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid @kavita_krishnan @RanaAyyub @BBCWorld @NicolaCareem This looks more like a personal axe to grind than genuine reporting. By the way, of the Indians in the list, this is the first time I am hearing the name of three of them and one of them, the second time. Clearly tells what sort of opinion influencers they are.
@TabeenahAnjum @DevjyotGhoshal @zebatweets @suchitrav @nytimes @Shehla_Rashid @kavita_krishnan @RanaAyyub @BBCWorld @NicolaCareem @HMOIndia @CyberDost @arifaajakia sir - I didn't tag you in the report in the start because of some code bug in twitter. It will flood your TL.
