The visit by #Iran President @HassanRouhani to NYC for this year’s UN General Assembly ended in utter failure.
“For the first time since the U.S. left the JCPOA, the Europeans have raised new conditions that are the closest to Trump’s position.”

“The European Union has privately warned Iran that it will be forced to start withdrawing from the nuclear deal in November if Tehran goes ahead with its threat to take new steps away from the deal.”

More intel in this thread:
While Iran’s regime and mainstream media claims U.S. President Donald Trump offered to lift “all U.S. sanctions on Iran in exchange for talks,” Mr. Trump’s reply was a slap in the face for the mullahs’ regime.
Iranian Americans, joined by Iranians from across the globe, held a massive #No2Rouhani rally organized by @OrgIAC to voice their support for regime change in Iran by the Iranian people.
UK PM Boris Johnson to Rouhani (on meeting Trump):
“You need to be on the side of the swimming pool & jump at the same time."
French President Emmanuel Macron: "I agree."
My take:
#Iran's regime humiliated was seeing Europe side with the U.S.
Desperately needing to save face, Rouhani resorted to obvious lies during an interview while in New York.
Zarif was also humiliated at the UN, being restricted by UN security personnel to a very limited area according to U.S. sanctions & regulations.
Also desperate to save face, listen to Zarif resorting to more lies.
At the “Future of Iran” conference held on the UNGA sidelines, Mayor Rudy Giuliani provides a stark reminder about doing business with Iran’s regime.
Albanian Prime Minister @ediramaal adds insult to injury for the mullahs’ regime, making Rouhani’s visit to NY for the UN General Assembly a humiliating disaster.
