Let’s not beat around the bush - history books won’t say “legal scholars disagree on whether Trump was impeached.” The House voted and *passed* Articles of Impeachment. Legal maneuvering only gives Dems what they want - “impeachment” without the accountability. Try, Acquit, Done.
Seriously, what the **** are Republicans thinking? Wait until 2020, or 2022, if there’s a D Senate majority, and THEN they can take up impeachment? “No SCOTUS appointment from a [kind of] impeached President”? “DJT must recuse from X, Y, or Z because he’s [kind of] impeached”???
Still seriously, who thinks Pelosi didn’t think about not sending the Articles to the Senate until last night? Our Qs of “why are they rushing this?” have been answered - because they get the benefit of impeaching without the detriment. McConnell should hold the trial tomorrow.

THREAD: So I am fairly confident that Carter Page was NOT ever under a previous FISA warrant, news reports notwithstanding. At least, the October 2016 FISA Application states that there was no previous warrant. Keep reading for my reasoning.

*bail law enables individuals charged with misdemeanor & nonviolent felonies to avoid posting bail money in order to be freed while awaiting trial
*another law gives farm-workers the right to organize, collect overtime if they work more than 60 hours a week, & get a day off

*a minimum wage law raises pay to $15 an hour for all workers in New York City
*another new law will enable adoptees to obtain a certified birth certificate starting Jan. 15

*individuals 16 years or older are now allowed to preregister to vote
