Here's something that's of immense value for the USA & World. 1st the bad news - people cannot be sent to Mars for any duration due to radiation effects both solar & galactic/cosmic having no magnetosphere. Rips apart brain tissue & alters DNA - but

@SpaceForceDoD @POTUS Good news, we now have the tech capability to build an artificial magnetosphere for Mars by situating a planetary field generator of approx 86 Teslas @ Mars L1 [see graphic]. This would require a large superconducting copper coil, powered, initially, by a mini-fission reactor.

@SpaceForceDoD @POTUS @NASA have applied for a patent on the reactor, which could have numerous other uses, this simply being the one of greatest potential. In the future, a solar array with battery storage could minimize the need for replenished nuclear material.
The result? The USA could be resp. 4

If the USA sends people to Mars without this consideration, then that would be highly unethical & unecological, in the extreme. We must begin with people in mind or it's no good @ all
