Agree or disagree with Erdogan's methods, it is the Assad regime and Russia that broke the agreed ceasefire. And that have been steadily escalating against Turkish soldiers. Not the other way around.

There's much to criticise abt Turkey's approach, but what wld the alternative have been? Standing by as Russia and the Assad regime bombed Idlib and civilians to their heart's content?

in 2012: no ISIS or Russia, regime had killed 40-60,000 Syrians. Any action impairing Assad's ability to bomb wld have saved lots of lives, avoided/mitigated 2015 Europe refugee crisis, and not facilitated Russia's resurgence.
