After my 3rd week home in Milan & talking to many friends in Italy, China, S. Korea, Spain etc. Here are the Stages of #Coronavirus crisis per country. Stage 1 – denial: “this crisis only affects country x”. 1/5
Stage 2 – anger: “the virus won’t stop us” (+ let’s go to restaurants/theatres). Stage 3 – bargaining: “it may actually be happening”. This is the worst… 2/5
…#schools are closed, #smartworking takes place etc. Runs start taking place: supermarkets, pharmacies, ATMs, railway stations etc. Stage 4 – depression: “this is worse than expected”… 3/5
…hundreds of people die, hospitals overwhelmed and out of spaces, severe economic crisis (hopefully temporary). Stage 5 – acceptance: “it will take time before this ends, others should learn from us”… 4/5
