After 2 days under quarantine, vegetables finally entered Mneen yday to be sold today thru shops. Locals say that town officials took a share of the vegetables for themselves in the evening (in violation of the curfew). A similar pattern occurred with distribution of diesel & gas 
The local authorities in Sednaya (near Mneen) decided to impose a near-total lockdown of the town. Several town residents recently returned from Lebanon through illicit crossings. Local authorities insist there are no COVID cases. An isolation center was set up in the town too.
Sednaya is well-known for the nearby gargantuan prison holding political detainees kept in extremely harsh conditions. Any spread of COVID within the prison will lead to mass deaths of the emaciated, tortured & sick detainees. More on the prison saydnaya.amnesty.org
