Media is once again bashing Hillary Clinton - the actual victim - about Lewinsky, and I'm seeing comments from people seeing a 23 y/o Lewinsky through a filter of their own children who may be unsophisticated, as if women of that age are immature with no sexual agency.
Not only is this infantilizing adult women, it is a completely inaccurate characterization of Lewinsky.
She was neither inexperienced nor unsophisticated in these arenas.

When Monica Lewinsky was in college, she initiated an affair with a married staffer from her high school. When he tried to break it off, she threatened to tell his wife. In this whole saga, this is the only occurrence of coercion, and Monica was the one doing it.
Not only that, Lewinsky befriended his wife and ingratiated herself with his kid. She transferred to a college in another state but still maintained the relationship.
At the new college, she stole letterhead from a staffer and forged a letter offering the married lover a job.

She was caught when the letter was returned to sender for some reason. When confronted, she made up a sob story about trying to help out a friend involved in a custody dispute, The staffer bought it and let the it drop so as not to put Lewinsky's upcoming graduation in jeopardy.
Later, when the married lover went public, the staffer recognized his name and realized he had been had. He went to administration who recommended he contact Ken Starr. He did and Starr investigated.
Starr and his team concluded that Lewinsky had forged the letter to give the married lover cover to come and spend time with her in Oregon under pretext of following up on the new job offer without his wife being suspicious.
When Lewinsky moved to DC and engaged in sexual contact with Clinton, she was still maintaining a relationship with the married lover from back home.
As things with Clinton were winding down, Lewinsky entered into a relationship with a man working at the Pentagon. He came forward when Lewinsky wrote a book and accused him of deserting her when she became pregnant.
He said that wasn't true, he liked Lewinsky very much and he was committed to supporting her decision. She told him she wasn't ready to be mother and wanted an abortion. He didn't desert her then either. He paid for it.
Monica Lewinsky may or may not have had other relationships. It isn't my business.
