Thread: New Bengali video (8 mins 9 secs) purportedly from ISIS in Bengal, released via Telegram on August 9/10. Feat. 4 guys, guy second from left (with glasses) is the speaker. Video is a call for attacks in Bangladesh.

Video itself looks very strange esp. b/c of the props used. Toy rifles with scopes (!), wireless sets (ISIS in BD *never* used these) and suicide vests with dummy (!) bombs 💣 Someone is trying too much to impress🤷‍♂️

Re: content. Speaker gives out a possible list of actors to target as part of jihad in Bengal: members of parliament; leaders and activists of democratic political parties; LEA members. They are labeled as murtads and their blood and property are declared halal.

There is a specific point made about engaging in attacks against the *near enemy* in Bangladesh which is as good as engaging in attacks against US crusaders and mal*** (Hindu) Indians.

Noted repression, oppression, attacks against Muslims in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Arakan, Baghuz. Special mention of Uyghur concentration camps. The only solution and response to these, according to the speaker, is jihad and qital. This is a call for action by Muslims.

Speaker addresses the taghut and murtad of Bengal and Hind, threatens mass slaughter. Dawlatul Islam (ISIS) is still active in the region and is preparing for new attacks, that is the message. There is also a call for Sunni Muslims in the region to provide support to ISIS.

Warning issued: Do *not* go near political party rallies; political party offices; polling centres; police stations and check-posts; government offices; court buildings; Hindu gatherings. "If you are unable to support the Khilafah, then stay indoors," says the speaker.

Video ends with the four guys pledging allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. This is administered by the guy with the yellow scarf.

Nothing really new here though. One would expect more concrete messaging in a Bengali video released by ISIS after such a long break. Definitely underwhelming compared to earlier Bengali videos or even texts.
