When #MeghanMurphy speaks at your facility @TorontoLib and @SFU, will it put you at risk of a human rights complaint for not living up to your own policies prohibiting discrimination or hate propaganda when she says this?

"I think that, I don't think everyone who supports transgender ideology is necessarily a misogynist but I think this movement began because of autogynephilic men.

So men who have fetishes around imagining themselves as women or wearing women's clothes.

They're using that "born this way" thing that was used by the LGBT...or LGB [pause] movement I can't even say it without the T any more [laughs] is misogynistic in itself because they are fetishizing femininity and fetishizing womanhood and turning it into a sexual thing.

This was recorded in an interview on @spikedonline , with whom she made the point there is "much more openness" in the British media to "trans skepticism" than in Canada.

When asked what's wrong with Canada about the legal situation in Canada...

"The law is really vague. So #C16 brought gender identity into the human righs code and criminal code. There aren't official laws around pronouns. It's really easy to change their sex on their ID...

...and it's more just that these policies were adopted across the board and organizations and the media and everyone else is along with it, and, you know like there was no public discussion. There was no consultation...and it sets a precedent before anything else.

There's going to have to be need a court case to decide whether me calling a man a man is an illegal thing to do, and it remains to be seen."

I wonder if Meghan Murphy's private goal is to force a court case.

Murphy actually has no human rights responsibility under our law for what she says in your facilities unless she strays into criminal conduct, libel, or defamation.

As municipal or other government institutions with policies that address discriminatory conduct on your facilities, you carry the highest possible liability for accommodation and the least room for undue hardship.

it is you as institutions providing services to a community of users who are put at legal risk when Meghan Murphy says these things on your watch.

It seems rather awful to be playing you like that by setting you up for an embarassing failure, @sfu @VPL @torontolibrary.
