will all start to become uninhabitable by 2029.
How much of planet Earth will become uninhabitable? how quickly will it happen? and how much suffering will be prevented?

The planet you think you're living on no longer exists.

Until relatively recently I assumed sea level rise was mostly a problem for the second half of the century.

I was very wrong:

Earth could hit terrifying 'climate departure' as soon as 2033.

The Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia are set to become 'so hot that human habitability is compromised' at 1.5°C - 2°C of global warming, between 2024 and 2036.

Unsurvivable humid heatwaves will soon hit regions where billions of people live today.mpg.de/10481936/clima…
We were on track for 2°C by 2036 back in early 2014.

Six years later, and things are now far worse: emissions are *accelerating*.

We'll hit 1.5°C by 2024- 2030.

We'll smash past 2°C just 5 or 10 years later according to some recent IPCC climate models.theconversation.com/limiting-globa…
🔥Climate breakdown will cause 'summer heat waves with levels of heat and humidity that EXCEED WHAT HUMANS CAN SURVIVE...

These deadly heat waves could begin within as little as a few decades to strike regions of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh'news.mit.edu/2017/deadly-he…
Unsurvivable heat sooner than expected:

'The limit of survivability, at 35C WBT, was almost reached in Bandar Mahshahr in Iran in July 2015, where 46C heat combined with 50% humidity.

“This suggests the threshold may be breached sooner than projected".'⚠️theguardian.com/environment/20…
'At 2C, parts of southwest Asia, including well-populated regions of the Persian Gulf and Yemen, may become LITERALLY UNINHABITABLE...'

'Some researchers predict a massive decline in the viability of food crops critical for human survival.' ⚠️
Slashing emissions to zero in the 2020s is vital, but it seems that even this wouldn't be enough to prevent unsurvivable humid heatwaves within decades.

'The goal of limiting global warming to less than 2°C..will not be sufficient to prevent this scenario'mpg.de/10481936/clima…
The planet is undergoing one of the largest climate changes in the past 65 million years, set to occur at a rate 10 times faster than any change in that period. Without intervention, this extreme pace could lead to an unsurvivable 5°C -7°C by the 2080s.

These recent models will be used in the next major IPCC report in 2021.

But we need to be talking about them now.

They seem to show that we'll likely enter a terrifying hell on Earth of mass starvation and mass death between 2025 - 2065.

Big news, no?
