My thanks to President Trump for punching the world's biggest bully squarely in the mouth.

This is something previous presidents, including some I voted for, have been unwilling to do.
Iran has been the world's most malicious force for 40 years, and no one has been willing to do much about it.

And I will admit that my preferred candidates in 2016 probably wouldn't have done much about Iran either.
Things will get dicey from here on out, but you have to stand up to bullies, and we've been much too unwilling to do so for far too long.
We've also misused our power in very counterproductive ways. Saddam Hussein was a cartoon bad guy compared to Iran and the guy President Trump took out last night.

In any conflict between personal liberty and law enforcement, I will take the side of personal liberty.

Even if wrong, always better to err on the side of liberty. Lord knows you won’t be in the majority.
My metanarrative is not for or against any particular issue, or company, or industry. My metanarrative is liberty.
So for my fellow conservatives who are trying to push an anti-tech metanarrative, and are distorting law and facts and data everything else in service of that metanarrative, including liberty, I will oppose you. Not because I am pro-tech, but because I am pro-liberty.

Every one of the last five presidents--that's 31 years--has come into office insisting that America was overextended militarily & internationally, and that we needed to be more modest in our engagements and bring our troops home.
Reality has a way of intruding. And sophisticated voters should know better than to believe such sentiments, regardless of which party is expressing them.
There are very good reasons why the world has needed America to stand up and intervene from the time that we first had the capability to do so. The world would be a very different place had America not intervened.

Back to my campaign against judicial supremacy . . . have you noticed that the Founders did not put the Supreme Court in charge of impeachment, or as the final say on impeachment?
Yes, I know the Chief Justice presides over the Senate trial. But the Founders in no way thought the Supreme Court should have the final say on something like this.
If we were designing the impeachment system today, I have no doubt that people would think the logical thing would be for the impeachment to be tried in front of the Supreme Court.
