The FBI issued a warning today that Zoom and other teleconferencing may not be as private/secure as advertised. As remote work/classes surge w/ coronavirus, this raises privacy, security, & possibly national security issues, as world leaders use Zoom too. bit.ly/2WZCetk
“The FBI has received multiple reports of conferences being disrupted by pornographic and/or hate images and threatening language,” the FBI cautioned today in a warning on "Zoom bombing" — aka strangers parachuting in to what you may suspect is a private/secure Zoom meeting.
It's not just about the privacy and security of classrooms, businesses, and individuals — world leaders are using Zoom and sharing meeting IDs and other info that could leave them vulnerable, too, à la Boris Johnson:
