@RepMarkMeadows referred former @CIA contractor #NellieOhr for prosecution on the basis of “demonstrably false” statements she made during congressional testimony.

Article by @PetrSvab theepochtimes.com/rep-meadows-re…
#NellieOhr was a major player in efforts to formulate the #RussianCollusion narrative in 2016, when she worked for #FusionGPS, the opposition research firm paid by the @DNC and the @HillaryClinton Campaign to deliver information damaging to rival candidate @realDonaldTrump.
#FusionGPS also hired former #British spy Christopher Steele, who produced the infamous #SteeleDossier, a collection of unsubstantiated claims about Trump & Russia that was spread through the media and among high levels in the Obama admin to seed the Trump-Russia narrative.
#NellieOhr's husband, #BruceOhr, who was the highest ranking career official at @TheJusticeDept, acted as a back channel through which #Steele funneled his claims to the @FBI after the bureau terminated him as a source for spilling his relationship with the #FBI to the media.
#NellieOhr previously worked as a #Russia expert for @CIA’s Open Works project, which used outside contractors to create intelligence products from open source information.

Her job for #FusionGPS was to probe some Trump family members and several associates of his campaign.
During her testimony to the #HouseJudiciaryCommittee and House Oversight Committee, #NellieOhr appeared to try to distance herself from #DOJ, saying she “would not have any knowledge of what [was] going on in an ongoing investigation.” theepochtimes.com/former-cia-con…
She also denied she shared her research on #Russian organized crime and Donald Trump with anybody outside of #FusionGPS, including her husband #BruceOhr and #Steele.

But hundreds of pages of emails between Ohr and her husband appear to contradict her testimony.
“Taking these communications into account, in addition to other information we have reviewed, Ms. Ohr misled the committees,” @RepMarkMeadows’s referral says, and later concludes the following:
#BruceOhr’s emails were obtained in December by @JudicialWatch through a #FOIA lawsuit. (See it here: judicialwatch.org/wp-content/upl…)

The emails reveal #NellieOhr played an active part in her husband’s career, helping to host 2 high-profile delegations between April and June 2016.
#NellieOhr was also regularly sending open-source materials on #Russia to her husband #BruceOhr and others.

“Hi Honey, if you ever get a moment you might find the penultimate article interesting—especially the summary in the final paragraph,” she wrote to her husband…
… on July 6, 2016. The paragraph, bolded in the email, read in part, “If Putin wanted to concoct the ideal candidate to service his purposes, his laboratory creation would look like Donald Trump.”
