Don’t let anyone try to confuse you: this IS an expansion of the Muslim Ban—an Islamophobic policy that this time especially targets Black immigrants from Africa

It is designed on the existing groundwork set by the same Muslim Ban that tore families apart 3 yrs ago #RepealTheBan

Of the 6 countries added, Nigeria has more people than the other 6 combined — and is Muslim-majority. Not all 6 new countries added are Muslim-majority – but current immigration visas for the 6 skew heavily from Muslim-majority countries. #StandWithMuslims #NoMuslimBanEver

If anything, this Muslim Ban expansion's even more vicious than before — it’s an *explicit* attack on Muslim families. It bans all immigrant visas *and* family petitions, leaving Muslims unable to join their children, spouses, or parents in the U.S. #StandWithMuslims

The timing, of course — in the midst of the Senate deliberating on criminally convicting Trump, and on the edge of an election campaign that’ll require Trump solidifying his hard-right base to win — speaks for itself. #StandWithMuslims #NoMuslimBanEver #RepealTheBan

This is clearly about Trump retaining his base through hate and Islamophobia. And doing so through an almost unbelievably immoral means: targeting Muslim Families for family separation.

The Muslim Ban, like so much from the Trump White House, is bigoted on its face. It’s rooted in a white supremacist worldview that aims to exclude and punish Black, Brown, Muslim communities. #StandWithMuslims #RepealTheBan

Trump v. Hawaii, the Roberts Court ruling letting Trump's Muslim Ban stay in place, was a historic stain on the Court’s record, likely to be named by future generation alongside shameful cases like Dred Scott, Korematsu, Citizens United and Bush v. Gore. #NoMuslimBanEver

It’s no coincidence that after Trump v. Hawaii, the administration issued a ban on people fleeing violence and seeking asylum at the southern U.S. border. #StandWithMuslims #NoMuslimBanEver #RepealTheBan
