It didn’t have to take a second autopsy to confirm what the entire world saw on that video. A video I, and many Black parents, still can’t bear to watch.
But the fact that a second autopsy was performed at the request of Mr. Floyd’s family is pertinent to this discussion.

The males had been in the public gallery (ie watching proceedings, not defendants) are impeccably behaved and appropriately dressed for a court building. 2 appear to be together, 1 is set apart from the others and says good morning to me which is why i notice them.

⚠️AUTOPSY REPORT MAYBE MISLEADING on #GeorgeFloyd death. “Combination of force & health problems contributed to death” muddies the cause. Often usually “multiple causes of death” codes assigned to a death. But there is also a single “UNDERLYING CAUSE OF DEATH”. What is UCD? 🧵

I am brown of Indian origin, but when asked, I always say I don't really know what #racism looks like, I have almost never experienced it, and I am in a position of power and privilege so I don't think its appropriate for me to speak about it. But today, I write about it here ...
I want to be crystal clear here... the Dayton police got violent first. As some protesters tried to outflank the line of bike cops, this officer, armed with a paintball gun, began firing on people.
The police then donned gas masks and began threatening to disperse the crowd violently. I saw water splashed from a water bottle above the frontline before the first wide spread use of pepper spray. The only injured cop I saw was suffering from the effects of their own spray.
After a few minutes, a Dayton police cruiser drove into the back of the crowd and began forcing its way towards the line. The driver nearly hit several marchers, and several water bottles were thrown at the car, not at the officers in the line.

2 -The murder of #georgefloyd appears to be a Mohammad Bouazizi-type trigger that has affected the majority of the country and unleashed pent up anger from a significant portion of the populous.
3- It would be a mistake to discount those on streets to a small segment, grouping, or insignificant. The size, scale, & daring nature in almost ever major city highlight the level of anger. Also important to note it is taking place during pandemic-quarantine in most cities.

Now that the medical examiner’s report is coming out, I’m going to share the EMT report that the fire department released. #GeorgeFloydMurder 1/
E17 is the fire truck that was called in to assist the ambulance. It was started on a “code-two,” meaning no lights/no sirens, for a reported “trauma to mouth.” 2/
Once EMTs arrived on the scene, however, the call was upgraded by the dispatcher to a “code-three,” meaning lights on/sirens on. 3/

Minneapolis je výjimečně bohaté, prosperující a zároveň relativně levné město. Prostě skvělé k životu.

Problém je v tom, že tato prosperita se v drtivé míře týká pouze bělošského obyvatelstva. Většinou si segregaci spojujeme s jihem USA, ale Minneapolis je minimálně v oblasti bydlení a přístupu ke kvalitním školám jedno z nejsegregovanějších měst v USA.
