So if I'm right, and Madam Speaker was spinning Thrush (who's worse than the mouth disease he's named for), why did she also preview the "Trump won't leave office voluntarily" issue?

One strategy might be for Congress to preview its contempt powers as a public flex, to show that Trump will not simply be able to sit in his WH web like a spider and continue to sting us. Linking upcoming contempt enforcement and possible jailings with Trump's eventual fate.
I do think Barr will have to call the House's bluff on Monday. But it's not a bluff, and they will jail him. That will be a public display of whether we still have a rule of law in this nation.
