Chief Secretary to the Treasury says "No Dealing" would be preferable to Revoking for the UK economy cos it'd take it out of "the kind of purgatory" it's in now.
From what I remember of catechism class, moving straight out of purgatory into Hell wd rather defeat the purpose.

(Name a credible economist who says No Deal = a heavenly state for UK economy. The Treasury certainly doesn't think so.)
& to turn "No Deal" into a verb is an interesting discursive tactic: as if it were a decisive action instead of the absence of one.

That it's "a matter of trust" which propels Truss towards "no dealing" highlights dangerous vacuity of the verb.
It's as if Brexit Day really is apocalyptic: end of normal rules of accountability/Parl democracy.
As if they don't believe there'll be a Brexit Day+1 to manage.
