Entirely predictable - and cowardly and despicable - Erdogan-style attacks on judges who did no more than uphold their oaths to apply the law. MPs must now hasten to end the worst Government this country has seen in centuries.

It's not hard to test whether the stuff this desperate Government is pushing is a good idea. You just ask if they'd want it if Corbyn was PM.

A right to suspend a Parliament that wants to scrutinise him? Errm...
Political appointee judges to hold him to account? Umm...
And the notion that the Olde Style Law Lords would have decided the case differently from the Supreme Court is woeful. Goodness me, Lady Hale, the principal target of their ire, was a Law Lord before she transferred to the Supreme Court!
Suggestions that the real reason for Labour's ambivalent attitude to the proposed emergency government is that it would lose some proportion of its £8 million of so-called Short Money.
