The situation in Syria is a nightmare. @realDonaldTrump inherited this nightmare, & had no great options. He campaigned on defeating ISIS & exiting that conflict. He’s now fulfilled those promises.

These types of leadership decisions often have no perfect outcome. As most of us are seeing now, the burden of command is indeed a heavy one.

Our Middle East strategy is and always has been short sighted. My greatest fear now is that my children will have to go back there, toting a rifle...only this time with no great ally like the Kurds having their backs. It scares me.
BUT, we simply cannot and should not stay in these nations forever. I have to believe @realDonaldTrump has more intel than I do, & as our Commander & Chief, I trust him & stand with him.
