Good news: An Iraqi committee has been formed to oversee the implementation of the withdrawal of all foreign forces from #Iraq, including the US forces. The US, UK, France, and tens of countries involved are informed of the procedure. #QassemSoleimani
I have to bow to the request to offer further explanation here:
I have to bow to the request to offer a further explanation here:e: The Iraqi government and all Iraqi forces agreed to allow the US and other forces to leave within 3 months.+
If Foreign forces refuse to complete the withdrawal, these will be considered occupation forces and therefore legitimate targets.

This is why I said the other day that no Iraqi anti-US group was responsible for rocket launching against the US embassy.+
The new Prime Minister will be nominated in the next 24-48 hours. The candidate is a professional candidate with an excellent relationship with #Iran and the #USA. I know him since year
s.
Iraq needs a strategic relationship with the US but a neighbouring relationship with #Iran.
The new Prime Minister was selected mainly by Moqtada al-Sadr, Sayed Ammar al-Hakim (with whom he had a long meeting today), hadi al-Ameri and all the other at the exception of Nuri al-Malki.
Al-Malki, even not satisfied, promised to give the 25 MPs votes for Allawi.
The new Prime Minister promised to conclude the full withdrawal of all Foreign Forces from #Iraq in the next 3 months.

Contracts with military trainers will be review in a later stage. However, keep in mind that most of Iraqi armament is made in the USA.
There is plenty of room for #Russia and #China. These two countries need to play well their cards and have good access to the Iraqi corridors to assure their share because many Iraqis want them in.+
The nonsense repeated by regime-change and warmongers self-proclaimed Iraqi analysts saying that "Iraqis want the US in the country" is untrue.

#Iraq is afraid of the #US and many Iraqi officials believe the US has the capacity to re-boost #ISIS.
Right or wrong, this is a general feeling in #Iraq.

Iraqi never forget how the US saw #ISIS growing, crossing to #Syria, ISIS occupying a third of Iraq and the US not only did nothing but refused to deliver already paid-for weapons to #Baghdad.+
#ISIS never occupied #Mosul. They were several Sunni groups led by the Naqshabandi mainly. They were called the "Sunni revolution".

Camp Speicher massacre that occurred on 12 June 2014 was never carried out by 3ISIS but by the Anbar tribes. All these were financed by #Saudi
When #ISIS kidnapped the entire upraising and kicked out all Sunni groups, it has prevailed and turned its guns towards the Kurds (mainly Kirkuk and Erbil).

Iraqi believe these can return by a #US boost when totally expelled from the country. So it is not black and white.
Having said that, #Iraq is much more mature and ready to stand against #ISIS. This means counting less on the #US presence. As long as Donald Trump is in power, Iraq may be in danger because we are dealing with an unpredictable person with the aim to "be part of the history".
So be patient. The #US is no longer the desired force in #Iraq. The Iraqi are aware of it and #Iran is changing its relationship and approach with the government of #Baghdad.

The assassination of Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi were a hard hit but not negative on the ME.
Allawi and Kadhzemi were the two candidates with the higher chances to be selected as PM.

Allawi was offered the position previously but rejected it when political parties wanted to impose their shares.+
Three days ago, many Iraqi delegations were travelling and discussing left, right and centre about the most suitable candidates.

It was agreed for one side (Moqtada et al) to select two names and the other side (Ameri et al) to select two names.+
Moqtada (et al) selected Allawi and Kadhemi. The problem with Kadhemi is his reputation (not necessarily true) as very pro-US. That was not accepted by many politicians.
Ameri accepted Moqtada's choice yesterday and today Allawi held several meetings to discuss his plan.
All political parties agreed that no "military figure: will be allowed to become a Prime Minister. They don't want the experience of Saddam Hussein to be repeated.

One more thing: President Barham Saleh +
A year ago, Barham Salih was Soleimani's best choice even if Brett McGurk was in favour of Masoud Barzani's candidate.

Salih said these words to Soleimani (I tag him so he can remember @BarhamSalih): "I'll be a copy Mam Jalal".
he was referring to Jalal Talibani.
@BarhamSalih Barham Salih's behaviour in the last two months was enough for him to occupy this post for the last time. So he has one more year to go until new parliamentary elections are held. He proved to be an opportunistic, not a diplomat.

Here I end my thread.
