#DBL #DilipBuildcon

Dilip Buildcon Ltd. is an India-based company engaged in the business of #infrastructure facilities on engineering procurement and construction (#EPC) basis for #roads #Bridges #Irrigation & #UrbanProjects.
@srslysaurabh @avinashmehta123 @Agarwal_Ishu
Why should one look into this? And does this deserve a place in my portfolio. Here’s my rational below.

#DBL started as a #Road Construction company for the western region and now has diversified into multiple segments and the co. has covered almost all the states in #India.
#DBL has secured orders worth INR 10703 Cr. In FY 21 and the total order book stands at approximately INR 26115 Cr. Orders are balanced between state govt. and central govt. entities. The company has successfully reduced risk on all parameters as far as business is concerned.

After access to finance, another big obstacle to agroecology is *ACCESS TO #LAND & #WATER* 🌳🚰

📰This month we published 'The Added Value(s) of #Agroecology: Unlocking the potential for transition in West #Africa'

🔎 The research shows why land & water are fundamental 👇🏿

/1
Rapid #population growth, urban sprawl, and land grabbing have created unprecedented pressures on #land and #water resources in West #Africa. Moreover, land laws, often rooted in the colonial era, have generally failed to protect customary tenure and land use.

/2
In fact, between 2000 & 2012, some 3 million hectares of land were subject to large-scale #land acquisitions across nine West African countries.

🔎In #Senegal alone, 650,000+ ha were granted to investors between 2007 & 2016 – equivalent to 16% of the country's arable land❗️

Opting for a drip irrigation system definitely has its benefits over other irrigation methods. Consider this:

• With drip irrigation, up to 95% of the feed water is uptaken by irrigated crops,
• plants are provided with moisture in the right amount & at the right time,
(1/3)
• in comparison with surface watering, water consumption is 40-50% less,
• fertilizer consumption is reduced by 50% compared to surface watering,
• the risk of plant diseases is significantly reduced since the leaves always remain dry,

(2/3)
• and thanks to the automation of the watering and plant nutrition, labor costs are drastically reduced.

So what do you think? Feel free to get in touch with our water engineers for more info and bookings.
