Trump amends his story about how no American soldier even had a minor injury achieving this Syria ceasefire. He adds, this time, "Actually, I have to be honest: one soldier stepped on a nail. It's true. I said, 'Don't tell the press that'...but one soldier stepped on a nail..."
This is the kind of Trump story that can never be added to a list of false claims, but, uh, he has given us reason for skepticism.
Trump, decrying how the US protects "94 countries," claims he asked Xi Jinping how many countries China protects, and the Chinese officials looked at him like "what a stupid question," and they said, "We protect one, China." (I fixed the quote from my prev. tweet.)
"The wall is going up rapidly," Trump says though it is not. (As of Sept. 30, no new additional miles of barriers; 69 miles of replacement barriers. Trump argues that replacement barriers should count as "new" because they're literally new and they're so superior.)
Trump attacks Pelosi over homelessness in San Francisco, "tents and drugs and needles and everything you can imagine floating in the streets." He says, "Nancy Pelosi, go home and fix your district, Nancy. Go home and fix your district."
"We will always protect patients with pre-existing conditions, always," Trump promises, though this claim has already been belied by his actions. His administration is backing a GOP lawsuit to get all of Obamacare voided; he's presented no plan to replace those protections.
Trump: "Nobody has done more for the African-American community than the Republican Party. And we're also the party of Abraham Lincoln. We can't forget that. People forget. Abraham Lincoln. Honest Abe."
Trump lies, "We passed VA Choice...people said it couldn't be done...VA Choice." Obama signed Choice into law in 2014. It was a John McCain-Bernie Sanders bill.
