I have noticed recently, a lot of articles laying the groundwork for pitting the public vs the civil service, for building a narrative that it was all the civil service fault - ...
... I can't help but think this is preparation for another round of Government cuts - ... I certainly don't recognise the Civil Service being described. So, I'm glad that some are coming out of the shadows.
In fact, I have quite an opposite view. I've been quietly encouraged by actions taken by the civil service. Others have also remarked that brexit has triggered an unlikely civil service renaissance - themandarin.com.au/99943-brexit-t…

Me : Oh, I can dream of an EEA "docked" to EFTA etc but I find that highly unlikely. In any case, there would have been a desire to achieve some form of deal
