According to @teleSURtv, #PuertoRican governor Wanda Vázquez Garced presented this proposal to #US President @realDonaldTrump, who is responsible for helping these people in need.
In this way, the #Caribbean nation would have access to federal funds for additional, individual and public #aid if the island was declared a disaster area. It would also speed up the process of restoring houses, buildings and landslides on public roads.
Major Generrel José Juan Reyes, for his part, emphasized that this initiative would be taken at a time when #Trump had made no comment on the #PuertoRicoEarthquakes and had not addressed it in his usual interventions on #Twitter.
