Guys with a $5 Trn economy as the Aim we need to start working in out of the box ways.
Most of India's forex is spent on Imports of Oil & Gas.
So today to reduce India's dependence on foreign suppliers we need to emphasise on Setting up Biogas plants with dual purpose.

Biogas plants help to convert Bio Degradable Kitchen waste and Plant waste into Natural Gas which can be used in our Kitchens instead of LPG cylinders.
This will help us to reduce our dependence on other countries for import of Natural Gas as well as help us in Solid waste Mgmt.

The Best part about BioGas plant is it is highly cost efficient.
A Plant capable of processing 500 to 1000kgs of waste per day costs ₹150000.
The Running cost is very very cheap as mostly the waste is available free of cost and on the contrary to dispose the waste requires cost.

But, the cost mentioned above are at very high ranges. A fully workable Bio Gas Plant can be assembled at less than ₹25000.

Now coming to my Dual Purpose point. Now let's imagine you are working in a Big MNC and the office is situated in a Multi Storey Building.
Then you could imagine that there will be atleast 2500+ employees working Bare Minimum.

Now think about the Food wastage that is bound to happen. Easily 500 Kilos.

Just in one company 45 Kgs have got wasted.
The wasted food is mostly Half Roti, extra Side dish and few spoons of extra rice which cannot be packed and provided to someone.
So ideally will be thrown to waste.

See just one office 500 kgs. In India there are thousands of offices like these and there are thousands of big big Restaurants and Five Star Hotels.

When we talk about big big corporates we should also include Manufacturing Companies like Hyundai, Oppo and Pfizer etc etc. Which employee Thousands of employees.

So how many of these companies actually use concepts like Bio Gas Plants which help them to save money on Natural Gas / Energy as well as reduce the output of Waste getting generated by them.

The above is the point of Big Corporates having better capacity for Safe waste disposal. Now let's ponder about how we can use these concepts in our Apartments and Flats.

In case of Flats and Apartments we know that the concept of mutuality works out and the cost of setting up the plants can be divided making it very viable.

Bio Gas Plants can be setup for Rs. 25000 and Rs. 50000 which are Low Intensive sufficient for the purpose of Apartments and Flats.

The Gas generated from these plants can be used for Domestic Cooking Purposes instead of LPG.
Thereby reducing the recurring cost of purchasing LPG by the Family Members.

These are small steps by us Individuals, Industries and Groups of People but the every waste that gets used in Bio Gas Plants help us to reduce Tonnes of waste being thrown out in Open which are indirectly affecting our Life cycles.

The Waste that are being thrown out affect us by following ways :
1) Add to Green House Gases
2) Pollute our Ground Water levels
3) Reduce the Recharge Capacity of Ground Water
4) Pollute our Rivers.

By Putting these waste to use in Bio Gas Plants we are not only avoiding the above mentioned aspects but also we are reducing our Countries reliability on other countries for Import of LPG.

I see this an Win Win Situation.
Request all Indians to spread awareness about Bio Gas Plants and based on their Feasibility request them to set up them and use them.
