It claimed HM was pro-#Brexit. Buck Palace complained, but it took IPSO/PCC weeks to force a retraction, by which time #BrexitShambles damage was done.

Moving on from the Queen to her beloved #Scotland, & into the especially silly zone of the Brit EU-#FakeNews Hit Parade, N°5 is the Daily Record's claim that the EU planned to classify Kilts as 'Women's Wear' (underwear optional).

This was a bit of frivolity for a Friday, but behind it there's a serious problem: the drip-drip-drip of #FakeNews over decades created a population pre-disposed to believe the worst of the #EU - fertile ground for #Leave lies, & worse, psy-ops conditioning by #CambridgeAnalytica

There's a list of UK-Euromyths 1992 to Jan-2017 on the linked page below. Sadly they've stopped collating them, but UK press hasn't stopped telling whopping lies about the EU. No wonder our print media has been voted least trusted in Europe 3yrs in a row!
