Ordered Kunafe with high expectations for a foodie. Bonum Cibum, Bangalore had a 3.9/5 rating on #Swiggy I had no idea why, as the restaurant looked great on paper. Great collection of exotic food from Lebanon, Turkey and the Mediterranean. Finally, we learned why it was rated so
The Kunafe was much better in Hyderabad (India) Much better melting cheese inside and better syrup with possibly apple. The Kanafe here looked more like the old middle eastern variety, with poor quality shredded semolina on top and subpar cheese. Bonum cibum non est bonum! #Latin
"Bonum cibum" means good food, for the uninitiated in Latin.

Bonum cibum non est bonum - Bonum cibum is not good.

Yet another brand has found itself in the crosshairs of a boycott trend on social media.

Food delivery app #Swiggy’s response to a tweet from a parody #NirmalaSitharaman account around the ongoing farmers’ protest was the talk of the town on December 01.
The conversation soon snowballed and erupted into a controversy leading to #BoycottSwiggy trending on Twitter.

Swiggy responded to this tweet with the wit and humour it is known for, saying, “sorry, we can’t refund education.”

An employee was given the opportunity to serve a maximum of 25 meals a day and was paid 40 rupees for a meal.

This resulted in an income of up to Rs. 1,000 per day. The additional incentives were sufficient to meet their food and fuel needs. 1/3

However, at present it costs only Rs. 15 per meal and a maximum of 20 servings, earning only up to Rs. 300 per day. Online catering companies charge up to 30% more than the actual selling price of restaurants. 2/3

There is also an additional catering charge of up to Rs.100 depending on the distance.

It is not in any way appropriate that your #Swiggy company, which is thus profiteering, has slashed the salaries of the catering staff. 3/3

KV Kamath at a conference organised by @ICICIPruMF

If in Formula 1 race if we can change tyres in 2 seconds, we can reset the country in a blink of an eye.
The magic at blink of an eye which was done during the lockdown.. taking orders on Whatsapp, Google Sheets, settting up of websites, setting up adhoc counters to sell & deliver goods.
This was a mind reset to do work on the fly
@swiggy_in y transformed from food delivery to world class delivery platform - this is an excellent example of blink of an eye disruption and a response to act. #swiggy

Yesterday I wanted to buy a #OnePlus 8Pro but I stopped because it's made in #China. So I changed my opinion and searched for #iPhone, sadly 80% of iPhones are made in China☹️ Finally I decided to open #Flipkart to search for other mobiles but flipkart is funded by Chinese 🤘👇
I was extremely disappointed and thought of eating some delicious food 🍴🍕🍔 for that I opened #Zomato and #Swiggy irony is that both are funded by Chinese firms. Finally I decided to order some snacks from #Bigbasket, this is also funded by china. 😭🥵👇
I was vexed and wanted to go to restaurant and eat 🍝 . To go there, I tried booking #Ola and cancelled because China funded Ola too. I wanted to compromise for food but Ola driver was accepting ride only if I pay through #Paytm but again China has made investment in Paytm. 👇

1/ Food Delivery Retail Chain Business have moved from Technology to Operations (#FoodTech to #FoodOps). Ordering Food Online has became a regular necessity in Indian Cities. Third Party Delivery Companies need to standardize the Package Size and other aspects, if they want to
2/ Scale the Business. Customers don't like to be left guessing. Guessing push people to look for options and drive them away from business. It also creates distrust. Customer like, What you see is What you get. The CEO's of Food Delivery Retail must meet and come to a Collective
3/ Consensus. In the long run Defining Standards would Scale the Business. #investors #operations #FoodTech #FoodOps #Retail #Business #Scaling #Strategy #Management #Swiggy #Zomato #UberEat #FoodPanda #Delivery #CX #UX #CEO

Enforcing selling Food measured by gram will discourage the use of baking soda in it by restaurants because people will eventually know the quantity they consume on an average. Discouraging use of baking soda will require to produce adequate amount of food
availing at reasonable rates to fulfill needs. It will create an initial distress in the supply chain equilibrium but it will also opens up enormous possibilities in food tech investments, innovation and ecosystem at all levels. A goldmine of possibilities.
