The first thing to notice is that goods prices have broadly stabilised and volumes are fairly flat - in other words, #NGDP has ceased its torrid pace of increase. Service prices are still elevated but #payroll cost increase is slowing.

The #ISM #PMI showed an uptick but is still below 50 which implies that revenue growth is NOT about to accelerate again. Again, slower #inflation & flatline volume = an end to the boom, but not yet a bust.

Hoy quisiera hablarles del mercado laboral en USA y de como se han malinterpretado los datos de las diversas fuentes una y otra vez, pero especialmente antes de los crashs, como antes del 2008 y 2020. De nuevo está ocurriendo en el 2023.
Me refiero a que instintivamente sabemos que estamos ante una situación de #colapso inminente. Muchos de los datos, más o menos fiables, nos indican que en algún lugar se ha soltado un pedrusco y que está a punto de iniciar su camino hacia abajo, arrastrando a otros.

1. of course, there are not enough super rich to go around so this would trickle down to middle income / middle wealth families. Moreover, will pension plans be excluded? #401K, #IRAs? (/)
