big day for #artificalintelligence policy w Senate Judiciary hearing at 10EST on regulating #AI, possibly even with a new licensing regime for #artificalintelligence.

Here's link to livestream:… [plus there's another AI hearing today]
at the AI hearing, I expect the usual amount of heated, panicky rhetoric plus suggestions for being more like Europe w something along the lines of an 'FDA for Artificial intelligence,' licensing for AI providers or NEPA for algorithms.
On that idea...…
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is apparently going to suggest some sort of formal licensing regime for AI + a new federal bureaucracy. It's common for incumbents to raise the walls against competition, but it's a huge mistake for the public & US competitiveness. 👎🏼…

!! Clinicians !!

Do you see the power of chatGPT, or other #ArtificialIntelligence , but aren’t sure how to use it in practice?

We can help. Excited to launch @dotphrAIse and our A.I. clinical assistant, Dotty.

Here are 5 ways Dotty can be useful for you, *today*

1. Perfect* dictations in seconds.

Gone are the days of needing manual transcription services. Dotty can create (nearly) perfect transcriptions in seconds, and even reformats it into whatever note type you want.

(video w sound)
2. Utilize the “hidden seconds” of your day

If it takes 1 minute to log in, pull up a patient chart, and click the right buttons to add a new note, you are spending hours every week just *waiting*

Rethink this.

💡We're all using ChatGPT.

Here are 10 ways how to significantly advance in it:

1. Simulate an expert

Ask ChatGPT to play the part of a customer, co-host, or talented expert.

Have a conversation with it, or ask it to generate content as if it were that specific persona.
/Example prompt/

You are a talented analyst at a top-tier market research firm, a graduate of Harvard Business School. Coach me to create content that connects with C-level executives at B2B SaaS companies. What open-ended questions do I ask? Prioritize uncommon, expert advice.

I'm so happy to announce my #TensorFlowJS book with @OReillyMedia

The book is geared towards #JavaScript devs looking to learn #AI / #ML

It's been a complete pleasure to work with #OReillyMedia

They are professionals, but they let me keep my personality which I feel is critical to all the #CodeNewbie folk in #tech.

I've learned a lot from the #DEVCommunity.

@TensorFlow is a new way of thinking for most #JSdevs. So each chapter opens with a quote and ends with a challenge.

I found it was important to get your hands dirty as early as possible to make the content engaging and fun 🎉🎉

Even though I haven't been a big fan of Twitter threads so far, a lot of people I know have made 100-tweet threads for @threadapalooza so I thought I'll give it a try as well. I will start with #APIs and hopefully end up connecting them with the #FutureOfWork. Let's go ...

First of all, when I talk about #APIs, I mean HTTP-based interfaces connecting apps and backend servers as well as different services with each other. For now, the technical details, such as whether they use REST, GraphQL, gRPC etc., shall not matter. (1/100)
When humans interact with computers they require a user interface (UI), and when machines interact with each other they need application programming interfaces (APIs). At the end of the day, however, these have to be implemented by humans. Good #APIDesign considers both. (2/100)

Despite the #ArtificalIntelligence hashtag, this machine is essentially a big printer with a computer using a "make this photo look painterly" filter. It's not making anything up.

It's cool, but it's not AI.
It does use face detecting software to know what's the person and what's the background. I'm not sure if that counts as AI, and in any case, that's nothing unique to this robot.

The artists here are Rob and Nick Carter, who created the machine.…
