1. Ask yourself👉what you want from this? To pursue research as career? To boost application for #residency #fellowship #employment? To get a recommendation letter? Regardless, aim for #publication (most value). Conference talks are cool, but publications stay on CV forever!
2. Basic science research=⬆️time+lab training vs clinical research. Study designs: RCTs, prospective, retrospective, case reports, review papers. Publishing case reports+review papers are most feasible endeavors during training! Best way to boost #publication numbers.

My mentor was a tall lanky fella from southern Missouri who had the uncanny ability to locate and catch bass like no one on earth. He truly was the best bass fisherman I’d ever met and was definitely responsible for teaching me how to catch bass in deep water. #mentor #fishing

2/ Dr. Bennett taught me that mentorship is not a job w an endpoint. She assumed this role IN my life FOR life. Today we talked as much about parenting as science. We are in each other’s front row. This is the depth of a true mentor-mentee relationship.

2. In my thread I mentioned that my reporting got me in trouble. In 2013 I relocated to SA. A great early decision because internet was cheaper & payments were easier from Google (Ireland) to South Africa. For some reason Zim banks didn't understand that Google could pay anyone.
3. I spend lots of time on the Internet. And by that I don't mean Social Media - NO. Am ever in forums, Reddit, 4chan, & others. Am many white hat hackers & black hat hackers forums too. I spend even more time on LinkedIn Learning (Lynda.com) in the past. Learning

1) At the age of 19, I, like many others, started investing in stocks that most people invest in. Fortunately, since the markets did well in 2010, I profited on those investments.
