"potentially damaging legal and economic sanctions".
"If you tried to complete the #pipeline in the next 30 days, you would #destroy its #shareholder #value and destroy the future #viability of your #company." The goal of the #sanctions is to ensure that the #pipeline is not finished.
The #senators pointed out the #consequences if #Allseas violated the sanctions: Anyone who provided #ships for laying the #pipes would be punished, the letter said. Persons affected would be #banned from entering the #UnitedStates.
Any #ownership of Allseas in the #UnitedStates would be frozen.This would also affect the assets of #Allseas #USA, based in #Houston, #Texas, as well as the company's #ships that were to enter #US #territorial waters.
