Because I can guarantee you (yes 100%): If #Turkey establishes this type of peace on #Syria, this mess will be over. It will be a win-win-win and win for many entities involved.

Having been in #Turkey for the last 18 months I have come to see one major/stark difference between people in US and Here when it comes to journalistic criticism. It is truly sad and disheartening.

In #USA when you write a critical analysis or editorial, you may be accused & attacked as a lefty or Righty, but never of being Anti-American. Here, the misplaced, misguided & ignorant stand translate tiniest of realistic criticism as anti #Turkey. Very very sad (and bad).

A Couple of Detail Points: 1- #Ceasefire is temporary & conditional; 2- Based on the new set parameters #Turkey loses ground in #Syria buffer zone. #Russia #Syrua #Putin #Erdogan

I suspect the #Ceasefire will NOT last long. Under the set conditions: #Syria Gov is entitled and allowed to attack terrorists, including those supported by #Turkey. And Turkey says if attacked by Syria military they will counter attack. As you can see back to where it was/is.

It appears that both #Turkey side and #Russia-#Syria Gov want to buy some time- With #Turkey-#EU migrants tension escalation, and recent grounds gained by Syria, and of course Turkey still pushing & waiting to get #US direct support & #Patriots ... Very very temporary.

I believe #Turkey is aiming for two big objectives: 1- Receiving a hefty (over $8 Bil) sum from #EU for refugees (it rejected smaller sum; with severe econ hardship wants needs the $$$$); 2- To get US #Patriots & continue #F35 part production after May 5.

What’s the end-game then? #Germany #Merkel May push other #EU nations to cave in & dish the money- We’ll know in the next 48 hrs or less. As for #USA: I don’t see caving in with the contentious #Patriots deal during the heated elections period.
