At the request of my new [South-African, obviously] colleague @MPlagis, I swallowed the 163 pages of the #Semenya award yesterday.

It wasn’t the most pleasant literary experience of my life, but at least I learned what a judicial ‘hot tub’ is.

Here is a book review:

1. In short, what is interesting in the award is actually also what the #CAS forgot to mentioned in its press release, the core of #IAAF’s winning case turns on the concepts of ‘biological males’ & ‘sports sex’.

$Uber’s and $LYFT’s disappointing debut seems to be impacting “innovation” stocks more broadly. Two problems nullify that relationship:
First, $UBER and $LYFT no longer are innovators, as #autonomy will destroy their business models.
Second, given the serious overvaluation in private relative to public equities, many more $IPOs will fail. We see many like for like companies valued in the private markets at 2-15 times those in the public markets as measured on price-to-sales.

It's the other side of the coin - females are to remain pure while males are expected to aggressively pursue sex. Both types of shaming target those who exclude themselves from the sexually economy of commodity vs shared experience.
Value is placed on gender adherence to...

Both must maintain reputation in spite of mixed messaging & what they actually want (or DON'T want.)

Yet this system is painted as somehow virtuous.

In doing so, predators are excused from harmful behaviour. Targets are quantified according to gender, perceived level of attraction, ect
Girls don't report assault for fear of disbelief.
Boys fear being labeled homosexual.

So, I've waded through the Evangelical Alliance's new pastoral "guidelines" for interacting with trans people (ughh, the things I do to expose #transphobic #ciswits to the world), and let's just say it's time to tear this particular sh*t-bag a new hole.
